Enchanteur Conseils

They were in crimson

Silver and gold

Upon the stone walls

Written in bold

And as the heavens

Thundered on Earth

They faded away

Like misery and mirth

And now they lie

In the clay, cold soil

Peacefully resting

Under the world’s turmoil

They were words to be

Interpreted by lovers

And hidden by the heartbroken

Under their Troubles

But to the common world

They just seemed

A waste of brick, and stone and wood

As they mysteriously twinkled and beamed

For when night came

They would come alive

Give the waters of Venice

Their time to shine

And I looked from above

From the golden gate

Smiled at their innocence

And the unrevealed fate

  1. Wow, this is brilliant! Love the imagery, and the flow of words.

The following verses were my favorite:

    “They were words to be

    Interpreted by lovers

    And hidden by the heartbroken

    Under their Troubles

  2. I am honestly impressed. I just wish I had more. Once people read your works, they want more and wish to be updated why? Because you grab readers. You manage to get their attention as soon as the poem starts. I suggest forget quantity of updates or uploads but focus on quality. It would be enough to satisfy readers like me. Good Luck
